EIC Accelerator Plug In
The EIC Accelerator is reserved for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups with disruptive innovation with a very strong international growth potential that is characterized by a strong capital development and a high level of risk. The ambition of these SMEs must be to radically transform the market. Thus, there is no room for incremental projects or product line evolutions.
Projects must therefore be at TRL 6-8 and last between 12 and 24 months.
The projects targeted by the Plug-in will be those projects that have reached a final TRL of 4 to 6 after Win4Company support successfully completed in the 2 years preceding the selection.
In particular, projects offering
- a compelling long-term vision of a radically new technology that has the potential to have a transformative positive effect on our economy and society.
- a concrete, innovative and ambitious breakthrough from science to technology, enabling progress towards the envisaged technology.
- a high-risk, high-gain research approach and methodology with concrete and plausible objectives.
Projects are selected according to a specific procedure. In particular, the technical capacity of the proponent must be demonstrated on the basis of the results and reports of the previously funded project at the regional level.
