M-ERA.net
The M-ERA.net project is a network of funding agencies and programmes involved in material sciences and engineering. The goal is to support and improve the coordination of regional and national budgets and research efforts, in order to establish a strong R&D community throughout Europe.
M-ERA.net groups together and replaces the former ERA-Net (MATERA, MNT, etc.) with a single initiative that covers the materials industry throughout Europe.
Themes of the M-ERA.net 2023 call are:
- Sustainable advanced materials for energy
- Innovative surfaces, coatings and interfaces
- High performance composites
- Functional materials
- Advanced materials and technologies for health applications
- Next generation materials for advanced electronics
Russia has been permanently excluded from M-ERA.net.
The choice of the foreign partner is very important, not only for its scientific qualities but also in light of the budget available to the funding agency on which it depends.
