About Win4Research
Since September 2021, SPW Recherche has reorganised its research aid.
The objectives of this reform, which is known as Win4Research, are to:
- better support beneficiaries
- increase transparency for beneficiaries and facilitate their access to aid
- streamline aid mechanisms and eliminate duplication
- fill any gaps that have been identified
- better guide beneficiaries towards appropriate existing mechanisms
- have a ‘return effect’ for the Walloon economy
- better satisfy the needs of companies, academia and research centres
- contribute to a certain concentration of public resources, in particular by establishing a clear link with the Smart Specialisation Strategy, one of the goals of which is to ensure that 70% of funding is granted to projects in the strategic areas outlined in the aforementioned Strategy
The reform is based on the needs of beneficiaries to:
- conduct a research project (PROJECT)
- create an innovative company (NEW ENTERPRISE)
- adopt an international approach (INTERNATIONAL)
- hire research staff (HUMAN)
- use outside expertise (EXPERTISE)
- raise awareness around sciences and techniques (DISSEMINATION)
